Shawna Alexander

Avid Reader/ Movie lover/ Bible Student

I am blessed to be the wife of John Alexander. I was born and raised in the Seattle area and, now, live in Redmond with my husband and our three children: Josh, Hannah, and Rachel.

I have spent about 14 years volunteering in various roles in Children’s Ministries here at Crossroads. Most recently, for the last 7 years my husband and I have volunteered as worship leaders for kids from preschool to 5th grade both on Sundays and Wednesday nights.

I became a Christian as a child, and so I feel it is fitting my teaching journey began as a Bible teacher for children. I am passionate about teaching the Bible and sharing the gospel. I homeschool my children and am also an active participant and Board member of our homeschool co-op, Legacy Homeschool Center. I teach Bible classes at Legacy, which has rooted in me a desire to teach God’s word and disciple others. In my own spiritual journey, I have learned how important it is to know God’s word. Even when I fail, God’s word is always there for me to pick me up and set me back on the right path in my relationship with Him.

I have been involved in Women’s Bible study for the last 12 years and have been a table leader for about 10 years. I have learned so much from studying God’s word with other women. I am so excited to have the opportunity to learn alongside other women and to help teach and guide women in their own spiritual journey to grow closer to Christ and be effective servants in a world that so desperately needs Jesus.
